Worth Watching ~ The Walk

The Walk
In 1974, French aerialist Philippe Petit made headlines worldwide with his daring high-wire walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Center. This elevating drama recalls the unauthorized and unforgettable feat pulled off by Petit and his team. (Netflix) This doesn’t make my Underrated list, but it is worth watching. I thought they made a mistake going with a goofy, comic-tone rather than making more of a serious nail-biting thriller, which they could have easily done given the subject matter. But… the last 30-to-45-minutes is thrilling, especially if you don’t like heights. My Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Stars.

Worth Watching ~ Run All Night

Run All Night
Mobster and hit man Jimmy Conlon has one night to figure out where his loyalties lie: with his estranged son, Mike, whose life is in danger, or his longtime best friend, mob boss Shawn Maguire, who wants Mike to pay for the death of his own son. (IMDb) This is Liam Neeson’s second best action pic, behind the underrated gem “A Walk Among the Tombstones.” My Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Stars.
